Honeywell Home 958 Product Description:
The Honeywell 958 is an commercial alarm contact designed for overhead door applications. The 958 is made out of a rugged aluminum housing and has an adjustable L-bracket type magnet.
The 958 has a 24 inch armored cable and an adjustable magnet. You can add a 958 overhead door alarm contact to a Honeywell wireless security system by wiring it to a 5816 wireless door/window contact. You can also wire it into any wired security system. The 958 is is a great addition to any compatible Honeywell wireless, wired or hybrid security system.

Durable, and reliable Magnetic switch. This is the 3rd one I've purchased. I am using it to activate a relay that turns on a red light in the house to let us know the garage door is open. It also enables a switch that you can use to close the garage. The magnet helps to make sure you can only use the button to close the garage.
